写真は、9代宗哲作溜棗と覚ヽ斎好菊桐大雪吹。このふたつを並べてみると明らかですが、茶器にはさまざまなものがあります。茶器はお茶会の中でも重要な見どころのひとつですが、最近私があらためて興味深いと思うのが茶器の大きさです。 じつは茶器の大きさは、時代により変化•好みがあるようです。ある美術商によれば室町時代が最も大きかったそうですが、如心斎三十二器(以下写真参照)を見ると確かに紹鷗形や盛阿弥形は大きいですね。また近年も、大寄せ茶会流行りだからでしょうか、大きく華やかな茶器が人気があるようです。KM
